The research notes of Keryx, student of blood magic.

Blood Magic-Chapter 4-Experimentation

~The chapter seems to have been written in a shaky hand~

Beware of drinking flesh blood from a living creatures veins outside of your "second-form". The results of doing such a thing have left me with an adverse side-effect. I will have to end my notes on my magic for a later date, simply because of this side-effect. My mel'zar had ordered me to drink blood directly from her veins. THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED! The reaction this has caused on me is a loss of control for me to choose my form. I look to find a way to regain control and this will be stated in chapter 5 of my notes. For now, it is unwise for anyone, who chooses to take upon my magic, to drink directly from a living creature. Once I learn how to calm myself, everything will be on an understanding. Until then, this will be my last research notes until I have more control over this.

Blood Magic-Chapter 5-Blessed Blood

I found how to gain control of the of second form... How to control when and where I change. I need a specific kind of blood for the control. This is a dangerous magic to under-take if you do this wrong. As my magic grew, so did the severity of my curse. What is written here in this chapter can not be repeated outside the sorcere until determined by the Ul'faeruk himself. The blood required to take control of this magic and the second form, is the blood of a priestess of Lolth. You must be blessed indirectly, by Lolth, through one of her priestess's through their blood. To not be a heretic in the society, you must find a willing priestess, to donate her blood. Be sure to have a spell that helps to "regenerate" to help the priestess through the blood loss. My magic has increased tenfold thanks to the blood ussta must drink.

Blood Magic-Chaper 6-Cursed form, increased power

The power of yourself will increase as you drink the blood of a priestess to remain in control. A result of this is stronger magic and something else, that was startling to many when they saw it. The form of mine had become larger and easily stronger. I fear that as my magic grows, more of these things will occur with forms and magic. This is not a bad thing, except it may end up with me, requiring more blood. I can only hope it does not. There is a few experiments I will perform. The next chapter will include the results of those experiments.
