Earthkin Under Siege

While Hawk'in and Kuldarn were roaming the Dale and the Arelith Woods in a wild chase after a group of Sharrans a message came by speedy saying just the three words you never want to hear. "Brog has Fallen."

And then everything went crazy.

Never seen so busy a moment for the speedy services as then and quickly Shields, Pax Cordoria, Darrowdeep, Hawk'in and whomever friend of a friend they could find rallied to the cause. Even the Halfbreed Camp, The Heartwood Grove and many more flocked to the banner of war.

All of the surface standing united in the fight against the Shadow.

Upon haphazardly arriving at Brogdenstein in the most unorganized and chaotic fashion ever witnessed, holes were violently created with powderkegs in the rubble blocking the passages into the collapsed mountain.

The Axehold forces pouring into the Golden Halls to aid their dwarven allies walked right into a massacre as the halls were crawling with Shades filled to the ceiling. The fight was short and brutal and not before long only one single Hawk'in crawled back out alive on the south-side entrance.

Only to have a speedy appear before him with a note saying "Shades attacking Bendir."

Bendir was a scene of violence and chaos with Shadow Doors appearing left right and center and the Accords and allied heroes fighting just to survive the day.

As a murmur was beginning to take hold it was about time to signal the evacuation, Bendir could not hold and was going to be overrun, a Shadowguard Beacon was placed in the center of the village stopping the onslaught of portal doors opening and the Shade invasion grinded to a halt.

Hardly time to catch one's breath, scouts were immediately dispatched to asses the situation in Brogdenstein when the news came everyone was hoping to hear.

"The Beast is trapped in the Hall of Legends" ...

Some of the Kuldarn of Brogdenstein had managed to escape the collapse of the mountain by going into the mines and tunnels deep below where they had regrouped and reformed and launched a counterattack fighting their way back up one inch at a time.

The Shieldwall of the stalwart dwarven defenders managed to clear the Golden Halls and trap the Beast in the Hall of Legends and a call went out to bring an Orb of Sealing to the mountain.

Bendir being closest went immediately to retrieve their hidden Orb only to their great dismay discover it is stolen by a Sharran agent in disguise.

With one last Orb remaining, the one so many battles have been fought about against Warden Gorden, the one Cordor Commander Gertrude Gawain had fiercely protected with her life, the call went out to Cordor to rush to the mountain and bring the Orb of Sealing.

The battle of the Beast in the Hall of Legends was one for the bard's tales. All the remains of the Axehold joining forces in a combined effort to hurt the Beast where they can, if at all.

In her final moment of glory Commander Gertrude Gawain threw herself body and all at the beast, Orb in hand, and stuck it to its hide shouting her last heroic war-cry.

The creature was sealed back into the Orb and picked up by a mage.

What followed in the moments after was nothing short of the craziest rat race ever witnessed on Arelith.

The Orb only lasts a short time and one cannot portal with it or be smeared across the Planes.

The last remnants of the Accords, dwarf, hin, human, half-orc, elf it mattered not, only guarding the package in a frantic run halfway across the island with Shadow Doors and Shade monsters appearing nearly every step of the way.

The hurdles were overcome one by one as even a volcanic eruption in the Arelith Forest could not stop them.

Finally the Arcane Tower Apex was reached where Xavier lost his life trying to stop the Beast from being transferred from the Orb back into Spellhold.

Editor's Note: This report was added a few hours before the full story was penned. I feel it speaks to the emotional and physical state of all who faced the peril of this situation. It was also written by the Hawk'in Commander, Gully Longbuck.

Beast Captured, Xavier Dead, Gordon Escaped

A day of many battles, too tired to write right now I have barely any feeling in my sword arm left.

A quick summary before I collapse from exhaustion.

Bendir stands, the Beacon worked in stopping the forming of more shadow doors.

Brogdenstein heavily damaged but not beyond repair.

The Beast is captured again with an Orb of Sealing and safely returned to Spellhold.

Shadowmage Xavier is dead.

Warden Gordon escaped and still out there somewhere.

Commander Gertrude Gawain is in Spellhold, couldn't separate her from the beast after being trapped in the Orb with it.

Any further letters become unreadable as the writer clearly has no strength left to hold a quill.
