Further Considerations

For those who wonder on the circumstances of my removal from the Council I will shed some light.

Previous to my removal the council was at ends on how Cordor should be run. I believe that Cordor should be a more proactive government, working to act where it is needed and to decide things in a timely manner. Emelious and Stephen disagree with me here, believing (or at least as their actions show) that Cordor should only respond to things directly at their attention, and that timeliness is anything but an issue. In the days leading up to my last, as many of you possibly know, I acted out of jurisdiction doing what I believed was right (not just for Cordor, but often for the isle as a whole; although some will call my a tyrant for such. I think the evidence against that is in my resignation).

I was unable to find either of them despite attempts through multiple venues. Due to this I just acted, only to have them come out of hiding to shoot down whatever I had done, then immediately return to being unseen. Due to this massive amount of infighting and confusion there was mainly one option. I would vote with Stephen to remove Emelious or he would vote with Emelious to remove me. Stephen had the final choice, myself (a person who believed in action, but would question and cause some hard decisions) or Emelious (a man who has, and will continue to, only vote with Stephen, not questioning).

Stephen, obviously, chose Emelious. This was neither unexpected nor surprising in my eyes. Picking Emelious increases his pull with the powers of the Council. I'm not terribly resentful for this decision (as I said, it was expected), but it does not change my attitude towards Cordor, in that I will continue to act to better it, Councilor title or no.

And that is my plan. I hope to aid Cordor where the Council either can not, or does not. If my removal from the Council somehow kicks them into action so Cordor is benefited? I will be in elated. But if it does not I will bring it on myself to help Cordor how I can. As such I will be keeping the Office in the Library with Ni'Varil. We hope this can be used as a place where people can find someone they can express themselves to, as I truly hope to help Cordor, and the people are the start.

I do, eventually, hope (and plan) to return to the Council, but right now the Council isn't where I can help the most. So I will become a voice for the people of Cordor until that time. When I return I will not do as many Councilors have done in the past (and I will admit my guilt to this at times), and that is forget who they work for the betterment of.
