The book of history was recovered from the abandoned camp over the Vault. Ussta have studied it in depth; this account summarises its contents.

Zebey'Selds is a cult of heretics, worshippers of the false God Vhaerun. Mainly jaluks unhappy to serve Lloth's chosen, they sought power and safety in other paths. At the heart of the original cult was a Dragon of Shadow, a beast both cunning and powerful which served as the cult's link to Vhaerun. Perhaps Vhaerun was an invention of this dragon to trick the jaluken to its service; the book is naut conclusive. Suffice to say that in binding themselves to the power of Shadow the jaluken gained great powers of stealth.

The history of the Cult is one of rebellion, striking out against cities following the true faith of malla Lloth. Ussta believe their incursions into Udos were and are a precursor to assault; their actions since support this theory, and hence, usstan passage to seek the heart of their power and cut it off. However, others have knowledge of the enemy also. Both the Ul'faeruk and M'elzar Zaqix have encountered the enemy or its agents; there is emnity between them, however, and they will naut co-operate lightly. Should dos need to solve the riddle of Zebey'Selds without usstan, malla illharess, ussta would counsel bringing the two together and forcing co-operation.

The crest of Zebey'Selds on this ring - the dragon entwined with the male heretic - was initially concealed, and ussta used minor divinations to pierce the illusion surrounding it. More powerful members of the cult appear to have been able to sense its presence on usstan, but ussta was able to deceive a minor agent using a decoy.

The point at which Zebey'Selds enter the Prime appears to be in the Sunlands, in the midst of a jungle far to the south and west of the great lake. Ussta have naut been able to determine the exact location despite sending a patrol to that locale. Their agents, however, are capable of great stealth, having entered Udos itself unseen. Ussta believe the ring may have more worth to the cult than ussta have yet determined. It is possible that study of the ring may determine that it is more than it appears; ussta have naut been able to determine why as yet. Perhaps it acts as a wardstone to their lair?

It is possible, therefore, that ussta will need it to complete usstan mission... but M'elzar Zaqix passed on dost orders, malla illharess, so ussta obey. Ussta believe a return will be possible should such be the case.
