Seeing as I've found it difficult to piece together who was in charge in past decades, I thought I'd write down the Mayors who've been in charge recently, in case it ever matters to anyone in the future.

Leading up to the year 121 AR, Andriarna led in the Dale. Also known as Andy, she retired to live in Gragor Hall, named for the orc who built it, apparently a friend of hers. Her rule was a long one, she's given me the story which I'll write up separately.

Succeeding her was Elijah, a follower of the Luckbringer who hailed from the same hamlet. He led the Dale for two years, before resigning and endorsing Red Highfen. Formerly the Sheriff of the Dale, Red stepped up to lead for the next two years.

Red was challenged and defeated in the year 125 by Lyra Littleshadow. Her short tenure as Mayor appears to have been divisive, not least with regard to her decision to replace Elder Buppi on the council of elders, claiming a breakdown of trust between them. Since she'd made herself unpopular, in year 126, Red won the Mayoralty back from Lyra, and reinstated Elder Buppi. In 127, however, he resigned and allowed his captain Alexander Swordhill to take the reins. But he quickly found the demands of leadership incompatible with his vows as a paladin, and stepped aside.

Ruby Dapple, from the long-established Dapple clan, was the next Mayor. Ruby's rule continued where Red's had left off, with the former Mayor a frequent presence at her side, along with her brother Tepher and sister Corinne (who also served as ambassador to Cordor). However, with the birth of her twins in 129, Ruby and Red retired from public life, and the people chose the gnome priestess Adoria Sweetlight, possibly only the second gnome in Bendir's history to take charge.
