The Orb of Creation

~The book is separated into chunks of text and scattered drawings and sketches of the orb from various angles. All of the sketches depict it as a highly ornamental sphere with a ring of sapphires around it's middle.~

The following passage jumps out to you as important:

"The Orb of Creation is said to possess a very strange and unique power. Through some unknown means, it is able to manifest the desires of the user into actual physical creations. If the wielder thinks of a peaceful glade, the orb will create a peaceful glade. If the wielder should think of a dwelling, the same will be created.

However, the Orb has a very strange way of altering any of these wishes and desires. It has been documented through suspected usage of it through the years that every creation that it has made, it has had some form of perversion in it's unfolding.

The previous example of the peaceful glade came from a real occurrence, supposedly enacted by a great druid of years past. This druid was later found at the bottom of the glade, drowned in water, his lungs filled with sand.

Every instance of it's usage is complemented with a curse in it's execution. Some speculate that the orb itself has some malevolent intelligence to it, while still others feel that the danger can easily be avoided through a strange practice called "Guided Visualization". The debate rages on, even at the writing of this book."

~The book is filled with several hundred more pages, to glean ALL of the information would take quite awhile, as the text corresponds to several hard to read and understand charts and graphs, drawings and miscellanea.~ ‡
