Welcome to Greyhammer!

Greyhammer was founded in the year 101 by elder-named hin-friend Gragor after the motion was voted on and passed by Mayor Andriarna Dirtytoes and those attending the fort meeting a few years prior.

What is Greyhammer and why is it here?

Greyhammer is first and foremost an outpost for the defense of the Bendir fort, Burrowhome and the Dale Lands. It is meant to be a place where those who feel at home in the Dale but are too tall to be an earth kin can live and enjoy the beauty and love that is the Bendir Dale.

Gragor and others built the outpost to also serve as a village. After its founding, Gragor took the name Gragor of Greyhammer and worked closely with the hin of Bendir as caretaker of the village.

What is in Greyhammer?

The large building is Gragor Hall. It is meant to be a gathering place for celebrations, meetings or just for those needing a quiet place to rest. It was Gragor’s personal home but he welcomed all who shared his vision of aiding Bendir.

The tall building is Vineyard Inn. It was named in memory of Merigo’s Vineyard which once stood on the land before Greyhammer was founded. Merigo and his family provided the best wines to the isle for many years and while the vines have dried up he will not be forgotten. His family has relocated and still offers their wines for sale in the Hinfolk Mercantile Exchange in Bendir.

The Vineyard Inn offers a few rooms for rent and a warm hearth for when the weather is not suitable for having a drink in the open air Dragonsbreath Tavern.

Even though Gragor was of half-orcan blood, he was a follower of Tempus. An altar to the god can be found near the forge. The forge itself was a gift from Bendir to commemorate the opening of the village.

Come spend the day!

Greyhammer is a celebration of friendship and overcoming adversity. Of peoples who are not related by blood or race finding a family and a feeling of belonging and working together to protect what is important to them.

So, come and spend a day. Get a drink at the Dragonsbreath and talk to the locals. Discover the quaint little village and what it has to offer.
