Next Election: Revolutionary Change
My fellow Citizen's of Cordor, many may know me as Mastias Lyonson, or "farm-boy." Others may know me as a Lieutenant of Cordor's Guard, along side a great inspiration, Lieutenant Ronus. I'm sure many of you know a Lieutenant's job; We substitute for our Commander's Absence.
It is also well known of my cold heartedness, which I cannot deny. Lieutenant Ronus is the empathy I lack for a moral society to become a functional Lieutenant. We work quite well together, in my opinion. My knowledge of the law with his passion of true justice and the moral rights of people, we managed.
I am, and have always been fascinated by the society's law for the people. I recommend adjustments; I recommend action for inaction. Through such, I've taken up faith as a Hoarite. Contradictory to the Hoarite's belief's is the Cordor System of Law, which I have no problems with seperation of religion and Cordorian Duty.
Unfortunately, there's been much absence as of late from the two of us. This is no coincidence, including Councilor Lily Rivendare and Commander Xorith Rivendare. My statements to the Council is moot, so now I state the events to the people. Libel cannot be charged by one member of council, well known knowledge of politics...
The end is nearing for myself... half the Guard is gone, for that matter. Banites were Banished. As a Councilor, Ayin had slowly crippled our, the people's, Governing System. Working with previous Councilor Tomar... allowing Ayin to fool everyone, including myself- especially myself, having personally arrested him; Tomar was charged with Treason.
Treason was the verdict of Ayin himself, and following such, Ayin allowed Tomar to escape with the majority of Cordor's treasury. The Magistrate had been taken away at this time, leaving two Councilor's present. This move, the Magistrates banished, has allowed Commander Xorith to hold supreme judicial authority along side Ayin and Lily.
I do not believe Ayin sided with Lily Rivendare, and in her absence, Ayin secretly exiled Councilor Lily Rivendare. Exilement must be posted to the public, otherwise such is nullified. Unfortunately, Lily Rivendare has... disappeared following exile. What of her, I do not know anymore. As to her exile, there's no record of her crime.
The Exile of Lily Rivendare, and Commander Xorith left Ayin a supreme dictator. He now had the power to mold the system to his liking. I know Ayin, I've seen what he can do. I've even witnessed his confession to myself as of his method of rigging the voting system. As a Red Wizard, I'm not surprised. His Draco-Lich didn't surprise me either.
His plan, so he explained, was to change Cordor to a new perspective. He was to methodically abuse the system to change what he thought unnecessary. I, personally, hate having him corrupt the system to become similar to a "King" himself, when the title wasn't deserved. Ayin doesn't speak for Lord Vetinari! Ayin is not our King!I had wished our Lord to intervene, but we are not to judge his actions; he is the Lord of Cordor, and now we were played like cards in Ayin's twisted fashion. Our Lord Vetinari is not at fault, nor is it the honest people of Cordor who aren't swayed by gold or promise of authority. I cannot place blame when the damage is already done.
Dismemberment and torture; burying innocent people alive and secretive exiles that BY LAW are to be nullified if not made public. Ayin, you never spoke for the people, you controlled the City as you damn'd well pleased. The next election is to be false, as was the first to place Ayin into power. Revolution is up to the people. We are not cattle to fuel people like Ayin's obsessions! Power-hungry people who bribe for their votes are NOT what Cordor should be represented as. I believe people can be better! I believe in Lord Vetinari, not falsely appointed dictators, Ayin or anyone else! My Lord Vetinari, please, intervene for Cordor.
Mastias Lyonson, 46 AR
