A pirate fleet, claiming the name Blood Sails, invaded Arelith over the course of several weeks. The attacks initially took the form of quick raids and traditional piracy off the coasts of Wharftown and Cordor. The campaign culminated in two unsuccessful sieges, one of the Crouching Lemur Monastary and the second against the fortress-city of Stonehold.
A united force of Light Keep paladins, Myon knights, Cordorian infantry, and Stonehold soldiers managed to rout the largest of the incursions in a battle that decimated the pirates' ranks. The admiral of the Blood Sails, Valmer Faulschtaff, disappeared due to mysterious circumstances some weeks after the siege of Stonehold. The Blood Sails disbanded soon after, ending their threat to the island.
Prominent leaders in the pitched battles included Light Keeps Commander Erik Silverarms, Cordorian Guard Commander Graash Zorgar, and High Lord Forlindel Siannodel of Myon.
