After the departure of the king and builder of Light Keep, Galahad, the throne needed a new king to carry the burden of leading and guiding the soldiers of Benwick. A druidess known as Xyndral answered the call, for despite her druidic nature, Xyndral was a woman of law.

Xyndral was a wise queen, she succeeded in maintaining the keep and leading the soldiers of Light Keep who shared nothing but their cause, fighting the forces of evil and standing for those who couldn't stand for themselves. She drove them to work in union, to respect each other, she made them what they are today, disciplined knights of Light Keep and proud servants of the Triad.

Of course, she didn't do that alone, she had the support of a few knights that shone up high in the keep's sky. Foremost among them were the following.

Lady Meegat who was the first to take on the role of Lady Protector. She was known for being strict but that's only because her role demanded it, deep inside she was a wonderful selfless person who cared much about the safety of the keep and its inhabitants.Her role ended when she had a break down and hired an assassin to kill one of her own, Sir Frand, after suspecting him to be the one who caused the death of her children. Lady Meegat is still alive till our very days but she is a shell of a person... She resides in a room in the keep and being taken care of by its servants, awaiting the day when her soul will travel to another realm and her fate will be decided by the Judge of the Damned.

Lord Severian, Leader of the Praetorians and the other half of Queen Xyndral, led a division of his own, allying himself to the keep and setting up a base within its walls after being given the permission by the Queen. Lord Severian is responsible for the fall of Stonehold, fortress of the Banites. He led an army of devas and brought justice upon those of Stonehold, leaving the fortress in ruins to serve as an example for the wicked.

During that era, a new personality was introduced to Light Keep, which played a very important role in its future, Rae Lexius, the High Priestess of the Tyrran Church.
