Gale's Rock

Dear Diary,

The day had started so lousy, and ended up being a mixed bag of highs and lows.

My day started with a dear friend turning into a werewolf and almost killing me.

Meeting up with my friends Maria and Devon, it was pretty embarrassing to assume Gale was talking to me when he invited folk along, but he let me along anyways. It was fine sailing to Kohlingen, through rain and storm.

It was even more fine, and delightful, when I was given a chance to ride the great serpent there after we defeated the lich and traversed the ruined town. If you ever get a chance to ride a giant serpent I highly recommend it. Well, you're a book, Diary, so maybe not.

Dear Diary,

I really don't recommend going to Galerock. It's full of mindless savages who just stand there staring into space, or literally cannot have their minds affected by magic. Not a thought in their head but to destroy. Note to self to avoid abyssal demon lords.

The place where all things died, the greenery faded away to rock and stone; to maleficent architecture. Hellfire rained down upon us, marauders assailed us, but we could not be stopped even in this profane and unholy temple to a prince of the Abyss.

It was here that Gale made his mark; if it wasn't for it being an unholy temple then it would change from Galerock to Gale's Rock! I was hasting Gale as he tore through the marauders like they were simply goblins; his large sword cutting down foes as lightning sparked along the blade's edge. I kept him healthy and quick as he dodged under blows and burned them to cinders, showing his excellence with a blade.

We charged ahead of the rest of our group, moving swiftly as nothing could stand in our way.

"He cannot be stopped! He is free!" I joyfully shouted back to our allies as they asked us to pause, amused as Gale was an unstoppable force. We ran head first into a dangerous group, and help was barely able to make it on time.

Fortunately we stood tall in the end, I kept Gale alive and Gale's martial prowess won us the day!

Together with our allies we delved past the twisted abyssal art, and made our way to the final battle. We challenged them at the very heart of their profane temple, at a strange ritual site. I am glad you do not have an imagination, Diary, as it was terrible to behold! It was horrible, but we stood together as one; as we weathered magical meteor swarms, burning acid sheaths and rampaging cultists.

We won.

It almost felt like we went through literal Hell together, or literal Abyss. But we did it.

We won.
