The Oogooboogoo clan started out as a small tribe that fled from the surface and found refuge in Grond. Oboo was the shaman and chief of the small Oogooboogoo tribe consisting of shaman Oboo, the mage Brool, or as the goblins call it 'wazaam master' and the thief Zool. They encountered other goblins who already lived in Grond like Godo and they learned from them the tricks of survival.
In the beginning they made a camp near the old shaman Garbagoth who lived in a big cave, accepting the young goblins in his territory. They learned a lot from old Garbagoth and Oboo was granted more and more favors when he prayed to Oogooboogoo. In a dangerous place like Grond many don't return home alive and when Oboo noticed one of the smaller caves near Garbagoths abandoned, he claimed it as his own, allowing all tribe members inside for a safe sleeping area and to store wealth and gear. Basically this was clan Oogooboogoo's first cave. The cave was located next to the one Godo occupied and when the other 2 smaller caves were abandoned one by one, the last one by the leader of Grond at the time a kobold dragonshaper by the name of Cha'ox, Oboo and Godo made sure that other goblins were there in time to claim the other caves. At that time Oboo's tribe started growing more and more.
It still was a part of Grond though, and particularly the Order of the Black Depth, leaded by the kobold Iejir, Oboo's nemesis, and the goblin tribe were known to have lots of fights and conflicts. Since Iejir and his order were given a lot of power as militia of Grond during Cha'ox reign, the goblins became more and more aggressive refusing to accept them as the ones they should listen to. Several bloody battles were fought and they never supported the other when asked by Cha'ox to put down their differences and unite for Grond. This resulted in a very unstable Grond and the goblin caves were attacked by the Grond militia every now and then, and in turn Grond citizens were robbed or murdered by the Goblins out for revenge. The Grond leader Cha'ox never managed to find a solution for this problem.
Then Cha'ox resigned and the Svirfniblin necromaster Skeflock became the leader of Grond. He claimed the title Tyrant and made some quick decisions regarding the Goblins and Kobolds. The Goblins were granted their own caves to rule. No rules of Grond would apply there. The Goblins could make their own and would no longer be bothered by Grond or it's Militia. In return the Goblins would no longer intervene with Grond rules and accept them while dwelling there. From that point on the goblins were finally liberated from Gronds interference and Oboo was put forward by Godo to not only rule his own tribe, but the entire goblin population inside the caves, Oboo finally accepted this honor and Godo left to live with the Drow himself.
When the rumor about a strong goblin tribe living in a secured cave system grew, more and more goblins started to find their way towards it, making the population grow to what the goblins caves were before the great flood destroyed them. A cave system where hundreds of goblins have made their home. After many years of reigning the Oogooboogoo tribe in which Oboo saw the tyrants Cha'ox, Skeflock, Murag, Orn Gixi, Satho, Mirdikis and Golg come and go, he finally decided to step down as clan leader and spent more time praying to the mighty Oogooboogoo. When Oboo was about to retire there was a power struggle between the other goblins, smelling their chance to become leader. Wazzaam master Zugx and shaman Rusmo always had been troublemakers and tried to take control of the caves. Besides the question who will lead the clan the hot core of this struggle was about the dominance of the goblin deity Oogooboogoo which gave the clan its name. Always some goblins did follow other deities in secret but when Oboo lost power they dared to do it in the open.
With the support of Oboo and the clan witch and seer Bugga Knowz Oogooboogoo's chosen Merago Sample, a monk of Oogooboogoo and one of the leaders under Oboo's reign, became the clan chief. Merago did force the clan together but he was extremely focused on the religious fundament of the tribe – which was questioned by other powerful goblins more and more. So he did try to get in contact with Oogooboogoo himself. It is told he made his way all to the plane of Clangor where Oogooboogoo enjoys the eternal wars and the River of Blood flowing into hell. Bugga Knowz managed to summon Merago back to his clan but he never was the same – blinded and paranoid. So he did withdraw from the clan.
Finally Bugga Knowz stepped out from her position behind the curtain and took over the golden medal the symbol of rulership of the Oogooboogoo clan – out of the hands of the old chief Oboo. In permanent conflict with the powerful kobold mage Vippin she reestablished strong political ties to the matrons of the drow city Udos. To integrate the clan again and force all shattered goblin groups together she commanded to build a shrine of every known goblin deity in the clan main cave – dominated by Oogooboogoo the head deity of the clan. Also she managed to obtain and restore a powerful artifact called the Psychotic Necklace from the surface goblin tribe of the Eyeless Witch. This artifact might still be in the possession of the goblin clan. Surrounding her head with living black tentacles this artifact had a great influence on her mind – supporting her skills as a seer but also enforcing her endless power hunger.
During the Cataclysm Bugga partly evacuated the goblin caves and established a sonic defense system. After the Cataclysm, it was discovered that the Oogooboogoo tribal caverns were relatively unscathed, unlike the rest of Grond. Soon expanding outwards, the Clan began to infest what remained of the grounds around their cave. Before forming a vast military stronghold on Urblexis Grond's ruins the goblins needed to defend their vast new land called 'The Tribal Lands' against other interest – mostly of drow and duergar. After several attempts failed to establish an Orog tyrant as a puppet of the Goblin clan in the Stronghold called the Grondhouse, Bugga Knowz took over the position of the tyrant of the ruins of Urblexis Grond too. Secret deals with the ruling matrons and other Drow powers were made to guarantee the ownership. Duergar were manipulated to focus on Jhareds and the Duergar in remaining military force of Grond were replaced by loyal and easy to control Orogs.
When Udos lay in ruins, there were many power struggles about the new refugee camp Pit Town and other new smaller settlements. In this time of troubles Urblexis Grond and the goblin clan grew very rich in resources. Much gold and most of all plenty of important city resources were 'gained' from other settlements by manipulation and trickery. But after wealth was no matter anymore, Bugga Knowz more and more focused on dark magic and pure evil rituals. In her search for immortality she traveled deeper and deeper into the great scar and only came back to do divine rituals and bloody sacrifices. She did foresee greater evil to rise from the Great Scar – forced up by water. Thus she commanded the goblins of her clan to dig tunnels to fill the Great Scar with water – as did the old tyrant of Grond the deep gnome Skeflock before her. Shortly after this Bugga handed over rulership to the female nature manipulating goblin Spets and was seen only here and there in the darkness, looking like a skeleton followed by rats. A long time young goblins still got scared when they did see her in the dark shadows of the goblin caves.
